CS2001: VEHICLE SOUND GENERATOR MODULE

Problem Statement

Design custom automotive sound generator hardware and software, configurable with a mobile device, with the ability to directly drive standard speakers.

Solution

• User configurable via mobile app.
• Amplifier and sound controller in single unit.
• Cloud based firmware updates and sound file download.
• Low-power sleep mode. Wake-up from key cycle input or from on-board accelerometer.
• Sound tone and volume changes as a function of engine RPM or ‘virtual’ RPM calculated from vehicle speed.
• Vehicle speed determined by direct pulse measurement, CAN data or on-board vehicle dynamics module using combination of GPS and accelerometer.
