Phase 4 – Manufacturing Engineering and First Production

Manufacturing engineering for production
Develop manufacturing test fixture and test procedure for system
Build first small production run (50-100 systems)

Phase 3 – System Evaluation, Testing and Refinement

Test and evaluate Engineering Prototype systems in laboratory and field situation
Revise system design if required
Develop unit pricing for complete systems in production quantities
Sign-off on design and move into production

Phase 2 – System Design and Development

Hardware, firmware, software and App development
Mechanical design of the system (enclosure, packaging, wire harness design, etc.)
Integrate electronic hardware, software and firmware into complete system for testing
Build Engineering Prototype (EP) system(s) for evaluation by PE and customer

Phase 1 – Discovery and Planning

Upfront research and development (if required for new technologies)
Design of overall system architecture and layout
Detailed product specification development
